Description

This is you opportunity to own a piece from one of Scotland’s greatest living artists, Peter Howson.

Having recently completed a four-month long exhibition ‘When the Apple Ripens, Peter Howson at 65’ to great acclaim at Edinburgh’s Art Gallery, Howson is undoubtably one of Scotland’s most recognisable and collectible artists. With a colourful career from serving in the British Army as the official war artist for Bosnia, his controversial destroying of his commission being undertaken for Glasgow Archdiocese before painting a much simpler piece which hangs in St Andrew’s Cathedral to handing back his OBE in protest of the referendum he has courted publicity and an international artist status which has brought him a number of high profile collectors, including David Bowie.

Owning a piece of Howson’s art will undoubtably offer a secure investment as well as a talking point when hung in home or office.

Pastel. 45x63cm (unframed), 79x86cm (framed). Comes with valuation and provenance and signed brochure.
